Loren Roberts Commits to Play in the 2006 Regions Charity Classic Presented by Bruno's Supermarkets
The man known as the “Boss of the Moss” and back-to-back winner of this year’s MasterCard Championship and Turtle Bay Championship in Hawaii Loren Roberts commits to play in the 2006 Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno’s Supermarkets. This will be Roberts first appearance in Birmingham-Hoover.
“We are very excited to have Roberts as part of our 2006 field,” said John Marovich, Tournament Director. “His back-to-back wins in Hawaii have proven what a great addition he is to the Champions Tour and how this particular tour showcases such amazing talent and spirit.”
The Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno’s Supermarkets will be held May 1-7 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge in Hoover, Ala. A field of 78 golf professionals will be competing for a $1.6 million purse, an increase of $100,000 from 2005. Since its inception, the tournament foundation has raised more than $8.3 million for various charities.
